I-Joist
LP® SolidStart® I-Joists start straight and stay straight. They are a type of engineered wood product made from wood fibers and adhesive, and are commonly used in floor and roof framing applications in residential and commercial construction.
One of the benefits of LP® SolidStart® I-Joists is their quick installation, as they weigh less than traditional lumber. Additionally, their long lengths allow ceilings and floors to be designed with fewer pieces, which can help to save time and reduce labor costs.These joists can also provide peace of mind for builders and homeowners, as they are less likely to split, shrink, twist, warp, or bow than traditional lumber.
LP® SolidStart® I-Joists are also designed to perform well, with a larger nailing area and increased stability compared to traditional lumber. Rim Board
LP SolidGuard Rim Board is a type of engineered wood product made from strands of wood fibers and adhesive. It is commonly used in framing applications in residential and commercial construction, – a reliable material with high strength and low shrinkage.
One of the main strengths of LP SolidGuard Rim Board is its high lateral load capacity, which makes it suitable for use in seismic and high wind applications. It also has a high vertical load capacity, which makes it well-suited for mid-rise construction.
In addition to its strength, LP SolidGuard LSL is also an efficient building material. It is precision-cut to match the depths of LP SolidStart I-Joists, which makes installation easier and helps to create flat surfaces for siding.
Using LP SolidGuard LSL can also provide peace of mind for builders and homeowners. It has been approved for use in one-hour and two-hour fire-rated rim board assemblies for party and exterior walls.
Designed to match our LP® SolidStart® I-Joists, they are available in several depths and thicknesses. LP® SolidStart® Rim Board offers straightforward and quick installation as well as high-strength reliability.
